The CFA Society Toronto Student Ambassador Program is designed to give finance and economics undergraduate and graduate students from colleges and universities in the GTA the opportunity to represent the CFA Society Toronto university relations programming at George Brown College.

Student Ambassadors establish new university relations contacts, develop new outreach opportunities, build relationship with student organizations and assist in the coordination of partnership events.

The student ambassadors for 2021 – 2022 are Hoang-Nguyen (Daniel) Nguyen and Jimmy Versteeg. 

Daniel is a current full-time student at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and a certified CFI’s Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA)® charterholder. Daniel has recently completed a co-op at KPMG Canada as a tax technician. Daniel has obtained a specialization in Finance and Quantitative Modeling for Analysts, offered by the University of Pennsylvania, and a certificate in the CFA Institute Investment Foundations® program, and acquired the CSI’s Canadian Securities Course certification.

Jimmy competed in the 2021 CFA Society Toronto Ethics Challenge, graduated with the Advanced Diploma, Finance in 2021 with a GPA of 3.95/4 and was on the Dean’s Honour List every semester. Jimmy is now enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Financial Services.
